Getting Started with your Candeo C-ZB-RD1/RD1-Pro
Wiring Instructions
Installation Instructions
After wiring, your dimmer should be screwed to your backbox using either screws from your old switch, or the supplied screws.
The RD1/RD1-Pro without a faceplate can be installed into a faceplate by:
- Putting the dimming stalk and base through the hole in the faceplate
- Then the washer and nut should be put over the dimmer stalk, in that order
- Tighten the nut, until the dimmer is secured firmly to the faceplate
- Lastly your dimmer knob will have a D shaped slot at the back.
- Please align the slot correctly with the dimming stalk, and push it on
Factory Reset the Device
- Button sequence: 4 short presses + long 5th press
- LED confirmation: Red LED stays solid for 3 seconds
- All previous network settings will be cleared
- RD1-Pro: Mode will be reset to Dimmer Mode.

Home Assistant - ZHA
No preparation is needed - the device will work natively with ZHA.
zigbee2mqtt
No preparation is needed - the device will work natively with zigbee2mqtt.
SmartThings
You will need to install our driver.
- We recommend you unpair any devices related to the driver you are installing.
- Go to: Candeo SmartThings Edge Drivers
- Sign in to your Samsung account.
- Click "Enroll".
- Click "Available Drivers".
- Now find your model in the descriptions.
- Click "Install" under the driver details.
Hubitat
You will need to install our driver.
- On your Hubitat instance go to Drivers code.
- Click "+ New driver".
- Click "Import".
- Paste the relevant following web address into the box that pops up:

Hue
The core features for these devices work in Philips Hue (Dimmer Mode only). For more advanced features, an alternative Zigbee platform is recommended.
Please note the RD1-Pro will only work with Hue in dimmer mode
Amazon Echo
The core features for this device work with Amazon Echo. For more advanced features, an alternative Zigbee platform is recommended.
Other Zigbee 3.0 platforms
Please follow the pairing instructions for your hub. Dimming mode should work, but we can't guarantee other modes will work.
Put the Device in Pairing Mode:
C-ZB-RD1
C-ZB-RD1-Pro
C-ZB-RD1
- Set your hub to pairing mode
- Open your hub’s app (SmartThings, Hubitat, Home Assistant, etc.)
- Select “Add Device” or “Join Device”
- Choose Zigbee device category
- Activate pairing on your RD1
- Button sequence: 2 short presses + long 3rd press
- LED confirmation: Green and blue LEDs flash simultaneously
- Pairing mode lasts 3 minutes
- Complete pairing
- Hub should discover the device within 30 seconds
- Device will appear as “Candeo RD1”
- LED will show solid green briefly when successfully paired
C-ZB-RD1-Pro

Choose the mode in which you wish to operate your device before pairing, using the commands given below:

- Set your hub to pairing mode
- Open your hub’s app (SmartThings, Hubitat, Home Assistant, etc.)
- Select “Add Device” or “Join Device”
- Choose Zigbee device category
- Activate pairing on RD1-Pro
