Setup Guide

Important: Install the Candeo Edge driver package before adding the device to SmartThings. The package is named “Candeo Edge Zigbee Dimmer Switches” and contains the RD1 and RD1-Pro profiles, including the V2 Dimmer, Remote, and Dual Purpose fingerprints.

Install the Candeo Edge Driver

1. Open the Candeo SmartThings Edge Drivers invitation link and sign in with the Samsung account used by your SmartThings hub.
   
2. Enroll the required SmartThings hub / location, then open Available Drivers.
3. Install Candeo Edge Zigbee Dimmer Switches.
4. Continue with the device pairing process in the main RD1 / RD1-Pro instructions. The Edge driver should assign the correct Candeo profile from the device fingerprint.

Extra Button Commands - RD1-Pro Dimmer Mode

• Dimmer Mode: Open the device Settings and use Enable Extra Button Commands when you want double-press, hold, and release events.
• Remote / Dual Purpose modes: The Edge driver exposes the knob button and rotation events as SmartThings button capabilities so they can be used in Routines.
• SmartThings Routines: Use SmartThings Routines to map the required Candeo button event to a light, scene, or other SmartThings action.

Troubleshooting

• Device has only generic Zigbee controls: Verify Candeo Edge Zigbee Dimmer Switches is installed on the same hub / location, then remove and add the device again so SmartThings performs a fresh fingerprint match.
• RD1-Pro V2 Dimmer has no Enable Extra Button Commands preference: Update/reinstall the Candeo Edge driver package and re-add the device so the V2 profile is assigned.
• Button events do not appear in a Routine: Confirm the device is using the Candeo Edge driver rather than a generic SmartThings Zigbee driver.
