Setup Guide

Important: Native V2 device support is available in Zigbee2MQTT with two specific setup points to check. No external converter is required. Support for the RD1-Pro V2 profiles is included in zigbee-herdsman-converters 26.97.0 and later. Ensure you are using a current Zigbee2MQTT release.

Installation & Configuration Steps

1. Update Zigbee2MQTT to a version containing zigbee-herdsman-converters 26.97.0 or later.
2. Restart / power-cycle Zigbee2MQTT after updating so the current Candeo converter is loaded before you test or re-add the device.
3. For the RD1-Pro action events to be exposed as Home Assistant event entities (and therefore appear in the Home Assistant Activity view), enable Zigbee2MQTT's experimental event entities option in your configuration:
   homeassistant:   enabled: true   experimental_event_entities: true
4. Restart Zigbee2MQTT after changing this setting.
   1. Zigbee2MQTT currently labels event entities as experimental, so their implementation may change in future releases.

Extra Button Commands - RD1-Pro Dimmer Mode

• Dimmer Mode: Open the device page and locate the Extra button commands setting under Exposes / Settings when you want double-press, hold, and release actions.
• Remote / Dual Purpose modes: The device page exposes the press and rotary action events used by Home Assistant automations.

Use the Zigbee2MQTT-specific versions below. Do not import the ZHA version for a Zigbee2MQTT device.

Troubleshooting

• V2 Dimmer setting is missing or device is unsupported: Update Zigbee2MQTT, restart it, then Reconfigure the device.
• Actions are visible in Zigbee2MQTT but not in Home Assistant Activity: Confirm experimental_event_entities is enabled and restart Zigbee2MQTT.
• A device trigger subtype is missing from Home Assistant: Perform that physical action once, then reopen the automation trigger selector.
