[RD1 Family] Hubitat Support Supplement

Setup Guide

Hubitat uses a Candeo driver matched to the RD1 product / RD1-Pro operating mode.

In Hubitat, go to Drivers Code > + New Driver > Import, import the relevant driver below, then Save.

After Hubitat discovers the device, confirm the Candeo driver under Type, select Save Device, then Save Preferences and run Configure. The Configure step applies the driver bindings, reporting and device settings.

RD1-Pro action mapping in Hubitat

Button 1: pushed = single press; double tapped = double press; held = hold; released = release.
Button 2: pushed / held / released = clockwise step / start / stop.
Button 3: pushed / held / released = counter-clockwise step / start / stop.

In Dimmer Mode, only the Button 1 double-tapped / held / released events are added, and only when Extra Button Commands is enabled.

Enable Extra Button Commands - RD1-Pro Dimmer Mode

On the device page, open Preferences and set Enable Extra Button Commands to On. Select Save Preferences, then run Configure. The V2 Dimmer driver will then report Button 1 double-tapped, held and released events.

Hubitat-specific troubleshooting

Device is using “Device” or a generic Zigbee driver: select the correct Candeo driver under Type, Save Device, then run Configure.
RD1-Pro V2 Dimmer does not show Enable Extra Button Commands: confirm the installed driver is the “Dimmer Mode V2 firmware” driver, not the older Dimmer Mode driver.
Button or metering events are missing: Save Preferences and run Configure again; then check the driver still matches the selected RD1-Pro mode.
