Candeo RD1 & RD1-Pro Firmware Update Instructions

The firmware update is performed directly from a compatible iOS or Android device using Bluetooth.

Before you begin

Before updating your dimmer:

  • Remove or unpair the RD1 / RD1-Pro from your Zigbee hub or coordinator.
  • Factory reset the dimmer with 4 short presses followed by a long 5th press. This returns the device to DIM mode, which is required for the firmware update.
  • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone or tablet.
  • Keep your phone close to the dimmer throughout the update.

    Warning

Do not disconnect power from the dimmer while a firmware update is in progress.

    Warning

The update consists of two separate stages:

  1. MCU firmware
  2. Zigbee firmware

Warning

Important: Always update the MCU firmware first.

After both updates are complete, the dimmer should be power cycled and factory reset again before being paired back to your Zigbee system.
