Overview
Setting up your RGBIC Neon LED Rope is straightforward: connect the strip to your controller,
power everything up, configure WLED, and you're ready to create stunning lighting effects.
Connection Flow
24V Power Supply → RGBIC Controller → LED Strip
What You'll Achieve
Once setup is complete, you'll have:
- 140 individually controllable pixels – creating smooth, flowing colour effects
- Wi-Fi control – from your smartphone or computer
- Voice control – via Alexa or Google Assistant (with compatible controllers)
- Music sync – capabilities for reactive lighting
- 100+ pre-set effects – plus unlimited custom possibilities
The process is designed to be beginner-friendly, with most of the complexity handled automatically by modern WLED controllers.
About Your LED Strip
- Avoid excessive bending – The neon rope is flexible but don’t create sharp kinks that could damage internal wiring.

Power Supply Guide for this LED strip
Minimum:
For 3 metres: 24V, min. 1.5A (36W)
Recommended (Suitable for 90% of use cases):
For typical use with mixed colours, effects, and moderate brightness levels:
24V DC, 2A (48W) Power Supply
- Supports full brightness for most colours and effects
- Handles warm white and typical RGB combinations
- Provides comfortable safety margin for daily use
Full Feature Power Supply Requirements:
For maximum brightness white lighting or demanding applications:
24V DC, 2.5A (60W) Power Supply
- Required for full brightness pure white output
- Maximum performance capability
Setting Up
Connect the LED strip to the controller.
The Candeo controller uses clearly labelled, easy-clip terminals:
- Red wire (LED Strip) → +24V terminal
- White wire (LED Strip) → DATA terminal
- Green wire (LED Strip) → GND terminal
- Double check your power supply does not exceed 24V, and connect the power supply.
- Set up your WLED controller by following these instructions.
Enter the WLED Config settings, go to LED Preferences, and enter the following:
Maximum PSU Current: Set to match the mA rating of your PSU (e.g., 1500 for 1.5A)

Warning: Do not enter more than your PSU can handle
- Length: Enter 42
- Colour Mode: RGB
- Save
- Verify all LEDs function properly
- Test different colours and effects
- Confirm smooth operation before mounting
