Installation Instructions

After wiring, the C202 should be screwed to your backbox using either screws from your old switch, or the supplied screws.

​The C202N can be installed into a faceplate by:
  1. Putting the dimming stalk and base through the hole in the faceplate
  2. Then the washer and nut should be put over the dimmer stalk, in that order.
  3. Tighten the nut, until the C202N is secured firmly to the faceplate.
  4. Lastly your dimmer knob will have a D shaped slot at the back. Please align the slot correctly with the dimming stalk, and push it on.

Factory Reset the Device

  1. Turn on the light
  2. Press the knob 5 times with a long press (3 seconds) on the fifth time. 
  3. Once reset successfully, the lamp will flash 5 times.

No preparation is needed - the C202 will work natively with ZHA.

No preparation is needed - the device will work natively with zigbee2mqtt.

SmartThings


The core features are supported natively on SmartThings, but we recommend installing our edge driver for better stability.

  1. We recommend you unpair any C-ZB-RD1/C-ZB-RD1P (whichever device you are installing the driver for) devices already paired first.
  2. On your web browser go to:
    Candeo SmartThings Drivers
  3. Sign in to your Samsung account.
  4. Click "Enroll".
  5. Click "Available Drivers".
  6. Now find your model in the descriptions.
  7. Click "Install" under the driver details.
Hubitat


The core features are supported natively on Hubitat, but we recommend installing our driver for better stability.

Warning
Please note the new driver is currently for batch #10 and above. Do not install it if your product code # is below 10.
You can identify the # code on the back of the device.
If you have multiple devices, of both compatible and incompatible product codes, you can either install the driver and change the drivers individually, or not install the driver.

Importing the driver.

  1. We recommend any C202/C202N devices added previously are unpaired, and then paired again after a factory reset.
  2. On your Hubitat instance go to Drivers code.
  3. Click "+ New driver".
  4. Click "Import".
  5. Paste the following into the box that pops up:

  6. Click "Import".
  7. Click "Save".
Hue


The core features for this device work in Philips Hue. For more advanced features, an alternative Zigbee platform is recommended.
Amazon Echo


Other Zigbee 3.0 platforms
Please follow the pairing instructions for your hub.

Put the Device in Pairing Mode:

  1. Turn on your lamp.
  2. Double press the knob, with a long press on the second time.
    1. The light will blink twice to indicate it is in network pairing mode, which will last for 15 minutes. If your connection attempt times out, repeat this step if necessary.
  3. Initiate pairing on your Zigbee hub.

Firmware Updates

The latest firmware can be installed using Home Assistant.
The most up to date firmware has the date code: 20250201.
The most up to date S.W build id is 1.40.

Your C202 or C202N must have a # batch number of 7 or above, and for a batches 7 and 8, they must not have the date code: 20230401
