[C-ZB-RD1/C-ZB-RD1P] How do I pair my RD1/RD1-Pro Zigbee rotary switch to Hubitat Elevation?


  1. Firstly, we recommend doing a factory reset:
    1. Turn on the light, press the knob 5 times with a long press (3 seconds) on the fifth time. Once reset successfully, the red LED will stay on for 3 seconds.
  2. Import the custom driver:
    1. On your Hubitat instance go to Drivers code.
    2. Click "+ New driver".
    3. Click "Import".
    4. Paste the relevant following web address into the box that pops up:

    5. Click "Import".
    6. Click "Save".
      7. NotesPlease note you only need to import each driver once. After the import all new RD1/RD1-Pro devices will pick up the new driver. We recommend that any devices corresponding to the driver you are updating — RD1 or RD1-Pro — be unpaired, then factory reset and paired again. Devices of the other model do not need to be unpaired.
  3. RD1 - Go to step 3, RD1P - Choose your mode:

  4. Set your hub to pairing mode
    1. To initiate pairing mode to pair to Hubitat, open your Hubitat dashboard:
      1. Go to Devices.
      2. Click "Add Device".
      3. Under "Add device manually" select Zigbee.
    1. Activate pairing on RD1/RD1-Pro
      1. Button sequence: 2 short presses + long 3rd press
        1. LED confirmation: Green and blue LEDs flash simultaneously
        2. Pairing mode lasts 3 minutes
    2. Complete pairing
      1. Hub should discover the device within 30 seconds
      2. Device will appear as “Candeo RD1” or "Candeo RD1-Pro"
      3. LED will show solid green briefly when successfully paired
