If you are experiencing difficulties pairing a Zigbee device with your Zigbee hub (for example, a Philips Hue Bridge or another compatible coordinator), the steps below cover the most common causes and recommended troubleshooting actions.
Start by restarting your Zigbee hub or bridge.
This can resolve temporary communication issues and ensure the hub is ready to accept new devices. Once the hub has fully restarted, try pairing the device again.
Please perform a factory reset on the Zigbee device and then try pairing again.
A factory reset ensures the device is fully removed from any previous Zigbee network and is in a clean state ready to join a new one. Pairing problems often occur when a device still believes it is part of another network.
If possible, move your Zigbee hub as close as possible to the device during the pairing process.
Zigbee uses low-power wireless communication, and proximity during setup can significantly improve pairing reliability. Once pairing has completed successfully, the hub can be moved back to its usual location.
Please check whether your Zigbee hub has reached its maximum supported number of devices.
If the hub is at its device limit, it may not allow additional devices to be paired. In this case, you will need to remove an existing device before attempting to pair the new one.
