[C202/C202N] How do I pair my Zigbee rotary switch to Home Assistant? (zigbee2mqtt)


  1. Add our custom zigbee2mqtt converter to your zigbee2mqtt instance: https://github.com/candeosmart/zigbee2mqtt/blob/main/candeo_C201_C202_fw_update.js
    1. Home Assistant will pick the right version for each C202.
  2. Factory Reset the switch:
    1. Turn on the light, press the knob 5 times with a long press on the fifth time (3 seconds).
    2. Once reset successfully, the lamp will blink 5 times.
    3. Note: All configuration parameters will be reset after the device is reset or removed from the network.
  3. Add your dimmer to your Home Assistant:
    1. Open your Home Assistant dashboard.
    2. Go to the menu and click on settings.
    3. Click "Devices & Services".
    4. Click the blue "ADD INTEGRATION" button.
    5. Click "Add Zigbee device".
    6. Home Assistant will scan for new Zigbee devices.
  4. Turn on your lamp, then double press the knob, with a long press (3 seconds) on the second time.
    1. The light will blink twice to indicate it is in network pairing mode, which will last for 15 minutes. If your connection attempt times out, repeat this step if necessary.
    2. When successfully paired the light will blink once, and then stay continuously on. The device can now be controlled through your controller or hub interface.
      1. If you struggle to pair your device, please try to move either the device or the hub, so they are closer together. You can move them back again after pairing.
  5. Name your device, and choose your room.
