Installation Instructions

Our dimming modules are designed to fit inside your backbox.

Factory Reset the Device

C201 [Click to Expand ▾]

1. Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds.
   
2. The LED will go red for 10 seconds, after which the reset is complete.
   

C-ZB-DM201-2G [Click to Expand ▾]

1. Press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds.
   
2. The LED will go red for 5 seconds, after which the reset is complete.
   

Pairing

Prepare your smart hub:

Home Assistant - ZHA [Click to Expand ▾]

No preparation is needed — the device will work natively with ZHA.

Zigbee2MQTT [Click to Expand ▾]

No preparation is needed — the device will work natively with Zigbee2MQTT.

SmartThings [Click to Expand ▾]

You will need our edge driver:

1. We recommend you unpair any C201/C-ZB-DM201-2G devices already paired first.
   
2. Go to:
   Candeo SmartThings Drivers
   
3. Sign in to your Samsung account.
   
4. Click "Enroll".
   
5. Click "Available Drivers".
   
6. Now find your model in the descriptions.
   
7. Click "Install" under the driver details.

Hubitat [Click to Expand ▾]

You will need our driver:

1. On your Hubitat instance, go to Drivers code.
2. Click "+ New driver".
3. Click "Import".
4. Paste the following into the box that pops up:
   For C201: 
   https://raw.githubusercontent.com/candeosmart/hubitat-zigbee/main/Candeo%20C202%20%26%20C202N%20Zigbee%20Rotary%20Dimmer.groovy
   For C-ZB-DM201-2G you will need: 
   https://github.com/candeosmart/hubitat-zigbee/blob/main/Candeo%20C-ZB-DM201-2G%20Zigbee%202-Gang%20Dimmer%20Module.groovy
   and after step 6 and repeating steps 1-3:
   https://github.com/candeosmart/hubitat-zigbee/blob/main/Candeo%20C-ZB-DM201-2G%20Zigbee%202-Gang%20Dimmer%20Module%20Child%20Switch.groovy
5. Click "Import".
6. Click "Save".

Philips Hue [Click to Expand ▾]

Core features are natively supported in Philips Hue. For advanced features or custom parameter configuration, a dedicated Zigbee hub platform is recommended.

Amazon Echo [Click to Expand ▾]

Core features are natively supported across Amazon Echo devices with built-in Zigbee hubs. For advanced features or custom parameter configuration, a dedicated Zigbee hub platform is recommended.

Other Zigbee 3.0 Platforms [Click to Expand ▾]

Please follow the standard device pairing and search procedure outlined in your specific hub's manufacturer documentation.

 

Put the Device in Pairing Mode:

Double press the reset button

Firmware Updates

C201

The latest firmware can be installed using Home Assistant.

The most up to date firmware has the date code: 20250201.

The most up to date S.W build id is 1.40.

Your C201 must have a # batch number of 7 or above, and for a batches 7 and 8, they must not have the date code: 20230401
