[CMM-1 Modmote] Zigbee Scene Remote - Getting Started

Installation Instructions

  1. The Modmote is fitted with a magnetic back plate than can be fixed to any flat surface using the 3M tape attached. Simply remove the cover of the tape and fix the back plate in your desired location.
  2. The remote can then be placed on the back plate, and removed as you wish.

No preparation is needed — the device will work natively with Zigbee2MQTT.

SmartThings [Click to Expand ▾]


You will need to install our driver:

  1. We recommend you unpair any Modmote devices already paired first.
  2. Go to:
    https://bestow-regional.api.smartthings.com/invite/1J2QyNNJAO20
  3. Sign in to your Samsung account.
  4. Click "Enroll".
  5. Click "Available Drivers".
  6. Now find your model in the descriptions.
  7. Click "Install" under the driver details.

Hubitat [Click to Expand ▾]


You will need to install our driver:

  1. On your Hubitat instance, go to Drivers code.
  2. Click "+ New driver".
  3. Click "Import".
  4. Paste the following web address into the box that pops up:
    https://raw.githubusercontent.com/candeosmart/hubitat-zigbee/main/Candeo%20Modmote%20Zigbee%20Scene%20Switch.groovy
  5. Click "Import".
  6. Click save.

Please follow the pairing instructions for your hub.
 

Put the Device in Pairing Mode:

  1. Press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds using the pin supplied.
  2. The LED at button 1 will blink green to indicate the remote is in pairing mode.

Important Notice

The CMM-1 Modmote does not report the battery level, so any battery levels shown on your smart hub will be inaccurate.
