Installation Instructions

Our switch modules are designed to fit inside your backbox.

External Switch Type Detection

Upon power-up, the default switch type is set to a push switch (momentary).
The system detects the actual switch type based on the user’s first operation after power-up:
  1. If the switch is pressed and held for more than 2 seconds: it is recognised as a regular (latching) switch.
  2. If the switch is pressed and released within 2 seconds: it is recognised as a push (momentary) switch.
  3. If the switch is pressed and released within 2 seconds, it remains identified as a momentary (push) switch.

Factory Reset the Device

  1. To manually perform a factory reset and enter pairing mode, press the K1 button 5 times.

Prepare your smart hub:

Home Assistant - ZHA
zigbee2mqtt
SmartThings
Hubitat
Hue
Amazon Echo
Other Zigbee 3.0 platforms
Home Assistant - ZHA


The device will work natively with ZHA, but for extra features (such as timed off, and energy monitoring) you will need to install our quirk.
zigbee2mqtt


No preparation needed - the device will work natively with zigbee2mqtt.
SmartThings


You will need to install our driver.
  1. We recommend you unpair any C-ZB-SM30-2G devices already paired first.
  2. Go to:
    Candeo SmartThings Drivers
  3. Sign in to your Samsung account.
  4. Click "Enroll".
  5. Click "Available Drivers".
  6. Now find your model in the descriptions.
  7. Click "Install" under the driver details.
Hubitat


You will need to install our driver.
  1. On your Hubitat instance, go to Drivers code.
  2. Click "+ New driver".
  3. Click "Import".
  4. Paste the following into the box that pops up:

  5. Click "Import".
  6. Click "Save".
  7. Repeat the process but at step 4 paste the following instead:

Hue


The core features for this device work in Philips Hue. For more advanced features, an alternative Zigbee platform is recommended.

Amazon Echo


The core features are supported natively in Amazon Echo devices that have Zigbee. For more advanced features an alternative Zigbee platform is recommended.
Other Zigbee 3.0 platforms
Please follow the pairing instructions for your hub.
Put the Device in Pairing Mode:

If the device has not yet been added to a network, it will automatically enter network pairing mode the first time it is powered on. This mode will last for 180 seconds or until the device is successfully added to a network.

Initiate Zigbee pairing on your Zigbee smart home platform, and your device will be discovered.
