Battery Installation



Factory Reset the Device

If you need delete the device from your Smart Life account, or perform a factory reset:
  1. Select the device in the Smart Life app and tap the edit icon in the top right corner.
  2. Scroll to the bottom to select “Remove Device”.
  3. Choose “Disconnect and Wipe Data”.

Pairing

Prepare your smart hub:

Home Assistant - ZHA [Click to Expand ▾]
Works with Home Assistant ZHA

You will need to install our custom quirk:

Editing your configuration.yaml file
  1. On your Home Assistant instance, click File Editor.
  2. Click the folder button ("Browse Filesystem").
  3. Select configuration.yaml, then click in the text editor to close the filesystem.
  4. Paste the following into the open configuration.yaml file:
    zha:
      custom_quirks_path: /config/zha_quirks/
  5. Click the "Save" icon.
Installing the quirk files
  1. In another browser tab, go to: candeo_smart_irrigation_timer.py
  2. Click the download icon ("Download raw file").
  3. Go back to your Home Assistant instance and open the File Editor.
  4. Click the folder button again.
  5. Click the new folder icon and create a folder called zha_quirks.
  6. Open the zha_quirks folder.
  7. Click the upload file button, then choose the file button.
  8. Browse to your downloaded candeo_smart_irrigation_timer.py file and select it.
  9. Click OK in the upload file box.
  10. Reload your configuration.yaml file by going to Settings → System → Power button (top right) → Quick Reload.

No preparation is needed — the device will work natively with Zigbee2MQTT.

SmartThings [Click to Expand ▾]


You will need to install our driver:

  1. We recommend you unpair any Smartfoss devices already paired first.
  2. Go to:
    https://bestow-regional.api.smartthings.com/invite/1J2QyNNJAO20
  3. Sign in to your Samsung account.
  4. Click "Enroll".
  5. Click "Available Drivers".
  6. Now find your model in the descriptions.
  7. Click "Install" under the driver details.
Hubitat [Click to Expand ▾]


You will need to install our driver:
  1. We recommend any Smartfoss devices previously added are unpaired and then paired again after a factory reset.
  2.  On your Hubitat instance go to Drivers code.
  3. Click "+ New driver".
  4. Click "Import".
  5. Paste the following into the box that pops up:
    https://raw.githubusercontent.com/candeosmart/hubitat-zigbee/main/Candeo%20CSF1TZ%20Zigbee%20Smart%20Irrigation%20Timer.groovy
  6. Click "Import".
  7. Click "Save".

Works with Philips Hue

Core switching and dimming features are natively supported in Philips Hue. For advanced features or custom parameter configuration, a dedicated Zigbee hub platform is recommended.

Amazon Echo [Click to Expand ▾]
Works with Amazon Echo

Core switching and dimming features are natively supported across Amazon Echo devices with built-in Zigbee hubs. For advanced features or custom parameter configuration, a dedicated Zigbee hub platform is recommended.

Other Zigbee 3.0 Platforms [Click to Expand ▾]

Please follow the standard device pairing and search procedure outlined in your specific hub's manufacturer documentation.

Put the Device in Pairing Mode:
Long press the button on the water timer for 3 seconds to initiate pairing mode. During the pairing process the LED indicator will flash red and green alternately.
